Solar Installer

Aztek Solar has multiple installer positions available, and we encourage those at any experience level to apply. All positions are full time and hourly. The starting pay is at $25 per hour and will increase depending on your experience level.

Please consider the following before applying to this position.

As a solar installer, you will be required to work at various heights and roof slopes. It’s important that you be comfortable working on roofs, using any necessary fall protection and other PPE.

While weather may delay some installations, it’s best to be prepared for working in all types of conditions - heat, rain, cold, snow, etc.

Having some knowledge and experience with basic hand tools would be beneficial.



Depending on experience, your day-to-day job duties may include:

• Install racking, inverters, and other PV solar components.
• Troubleshooting and servicing previously installed PV solar systems.
• Job preparation and inventory management.
• Review job details to create an installation plan.
• Measuring and mapping out solar arrays.
• Documenting the installation process by taking photos, creating sticker maps, and making notes.
• Communicate with the office, sales team, and sub-contractors.
• Operating a forklift and boom lift.
• Taking part in regular safety meetings and completing safety checklists.

Having any valid training certificates would be considered an asset:

Required:

A valid driver’s license and a recent Nova Scotia driving abstract.

Energy Efficiency Solar Consultant

A leading solar energy company in Nova Scotia is hiring a full-time Energy Efficiency Solar Consultant to help homeowners transition to sustainable, cost-saving energy solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Engage with homeowners by phone, email, and video to assess their energy needs and introduce solar solutions.
• Convert both company-generated and self-sourced leads into signed agreements.
• Qualify prospects, deliver persuasive presentations, and close deals with minimal discounting.
• Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from quote to installation.
• Maintain accurate sales activity in the company CRM and ensure excellent post-sale follow-up.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Solar Consultant in a previous or current role is an asset.
• Prior success in sales or customer engagement roles (outside sales, real estate, or renewable energy a plus).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly.
• Comfort with CRM software and Microsoft Office tools.
• High motivation and resilience in a performance-based environment.
• A keen interest in solar energy, sustainability, or energy efficiency solutions.

Associate Solar Advisor

Join Nova Scotia’s Fastest Growing Solar Team!
Aztek Solar Ltd. is looking for energetic, outgoing individuals to join our door-to-door outreach team. As an Associate Solar Advisor (ASA), you’ll identify ideal homes for solar and help homeowners take the first step toward energy independence.

No hard selling – your job is to book qualified appointments. We provide the training, tools, and territory. You bring the energy, drive, and communication skills.

What You'll Do:

• Knock on doors in assigned neighborhoods (HRM)
• Use our scoring system to qualify homes for solar (IHP)
• Engage homeowners and book Home Assessment Appointments (HAA)
• Confirm appointments and log your results in our CRM (Zoho)
• Work weekday evenings (4pm–8pm) and Saturdays (9am–5pm)

Compensation:

• $30 per completed HAA
• $300 per sale that originates from your appointment
• $0.50/km mileage reimbursement
• Access to a $5,000 draw on commissions (to stabilize income)
• Earn a $5,000 performance bonus if you meet target by Sept. 1, 2025
